Bell Fund - New Media

The Bell Fund has invested in the production of new media projects associated with television productions since 1997. Bell ExpressVu makes annual contributions of over $8 million to this Fund. In addition, the investments generated by a $10 million endowment resulting from the BCE/CTV Benefits provides the funding to support the development of digital interactive projects.
DocMovies tip - The fund sponsors two third English content and the rest for French content. Cross Media content in the development program granted %75 of production up to $50,000. Canada is a leading country in new media public funding.

Berlinale - International Film Festival Berlin

In co-operation with the German Federal Cultural Foundation (Kulturstiftung des Bundes) the Berlin International Film Festival has set up the World Cinema Fund (WCF) to support filmmakers from transition countries. Until 2007, the geographical focus has been on Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. In February 2007, the WCF announced an expansion of the focus regions: since summer 2007, film projects from South East Asia and the Caucasus are also eligible for support from the WCF.

Cinereach supports feature-length nonfiction and fiction films that possess an independent spirit, depict underrepresented perspectives, and resonate across international boundaries. We favor story over message, character over agenda, complexity over duality.
Grants range from $5,000 – $50,000 and are awarded to feature-length films at any stage, including development, production and post-production. There are two letter of inquiry deadlines per year (Summer and Winter), after which a selection of applicants are invited to submit full proposals. The Cinereach grants committee meets twice a year to review the proposals. Each cycle, between five and 15 projects are selected to receive support.

EIDF Documentary Fund (EDF)

The EBS International Documentary Festival (EIDF) and Broadcasting content Promotion Foundation have collaborated in order to reinforce the works of documentaries in development. The winner will have the financial support of KRW 30,000,000 for the final production.

EURIMAGES
Eurimages is the Council of Europe fund for the co-production, distribution and exhibition of European cinematographic works. Set up in 1988 as a Partial Agreement it currently has 34 Member States.
Eurimages aims to promote the European film industry by encouraging the production and distribution of films and fostering co-operation between professionals.

Tribeca Sloan Filmmaker Fund

The TFI Sloan Filmmaker Fund will provide up to $140,000 in support of innovative and compelling filmmaking that explores scientific, mathematical, and technological themes and storylines, or a leading character who is a scientist, engineer, innovator or mathematician in fresh ways.
They are seeking exceptional narrative work of all genres (except science fiction or fantasy) with scientifically accurate themes or characters.
Selected projects from eligible directors, screenwriters and producers will be highlighted at the Tribeca Film Festival in May 2010. In addition to funding, grantees will receive professional guidance and industry exposure as needed.
