DocMovies started in an era of the internet wilderness. The goal was to offer full length documentaries for download - for free. An inconceivable concept for that period of time. The rational behind the site's concept was content democratization. DocMovies works with filmmakers to bring their stories, and to expose them to a fast growing audience. Many bytes later we now understand how the internet works and what it can offer filmmakers.

The blog is updated when a good subject arises. The twitter account, @docmovies, is updated more regularly.
