A gathering (organizers insist it's not a convention with master classes etc.) will take place in USC Berkley on October 17-18. The web-page title is "Exploring the Future of the Entertainment Industry" and the header title is The Future of Cinema, Games and Online Video.Although DocMovies won't be present there, I agree with every word: yes, the future is there, in the linkage between cinema, online video and games and yes - it should be a conversation rather than a convention, because the subject is new to everyone and therefore it's better to consult with each other than to hear lectures from people who pretend they alreadyy know how the future looks and sounds.
