
20 years after the fall of the Berlin wall, after euphoria and disenchantment, Berlin is still in search of its identity. 24h Berlin tells the story of this search and documents one day in the life of this extraordinary European metropolis.
24h Berlin is a 24 hour-long documentary narration, with was shot by 80 professional film teams and at the same time also by everyone in Berlin who wanted to participate. The program will be transmitted on Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb), across Europe on ARTE, and on the Finnish TV station YLE Teema. A 24-hour program. According to the official website 24h Berlin is also an interactive multimedia event, "from Berlin, by Berlin, about Berlin. The people in Berlin are at the center of the project, everyone have the opportunity to participate in the making of the 24-hour TV programe, shooting their own video or coming to one of 24h Berlin talk boxes.
The count down is on and the program will be aired on 5th September 2009.
